I am creating a website for aquariums with both fresh and salt water information. If you now some things about saltwater aquariums, please post with what you know and I will post it on the website with credit to you.

I need a short introductory paragraph, info on filters, heating and lighting.

Thanks.

How about, don't try it, until you have several years of keeping freshwater fish, under your belt.

you could not really do it justice in a short introduction as the filtration, lights etc depends on what set up you are running i.e fish only, reef tank, corals & inverts

Sorry Jack, we don't want to discourage you, but caring for a Marine setup is serious business.

The Marine environment is incredibly fragile, and if anything, that's the message you need to get across to someone who is thinking of giving it a go.

Beyond that, you require the input of a person with some decent Marine experiance. I vaguely remember someone here saying they'd had a Marine tank once, but I'm uncertain who it was.
