This is a beauty.
Clunkster will probably side with the PC'ers, and have my gonads, but I thought it was a bit on the funny side. But as Homer says \\\\"It's funny, because I don't know him!\\\\"

good question the guy obviously was'nt prepared to pay for a vet but was prepared to leave the fish in pain ? discomfort ? if i was in that position then i would think euthanasia
but then to be honest i would not place any thing in a tank that a large mouthed fish could swollow for this very reason.
this reminds me of another catfish (think it was a redtail) that swollowed somthing and had it surgicaly removed. i will see if i can find it and post the link for people to see if they want

apistomaster's post gives a good option i think for those that cant afford the massive vet bill and that arent prepared to see a fish in such discomfort.
personaly i'd probably go for that option as watching the video of the fish made me cringe and feel for the poor thing.
