All Change in my Large Tanks - Compare the Pics

i decided the other day i wanted to change things around in my 2 big tanks. i moved fish, plants and wood about between the 2 and changed the layout of both.

the 40g square tank is now ment to look like a wooded river bed or creek that should be a good playground for my 2 BNs and provides some room for the tetras etc to swim about, while the 30g Rio looks more like a loosely planted river bed that has plenty of room for the corys and angels to roam about. it also means i get to see my corys more Smile

below are some pics of both tanks.

here is what it looks like now ...

now here are 3 pics of my Rio 30g.

this 1st pic, taken last year, is my 1st attempt at heavily planted tank ...

this is what it looked like a few days ago before i changed it ...

and here is what it looks like now. at the moment it looks a little sparse but i am happy with that and it will fill out a bit more as the plants start to grow more ...

this is a quick post just now, to show off the new layouts and to see what people think. i can add details about the fish, plants and set ups later if anyone is interested.

100s of baby convicts, 6 harlequins, 6 black neons, 5 zebra danios, 5 kuhli loaches, lots of varying corys, 2 clown loaches, 2 bristlenose plecs, lots of shrimps. 30+ bristlenose babies and lots of baby zebra danios

It's not heavily planted if you can still see in there !!

I agree with Clunkster. They looked swell beforehand, and the before / after pics are always good value.

I used to do annual remodeling on the my small tank, like this. Never settled on one thing for too long. I couldn't be buggered on the large tank. It's a incremental 'nibbler' process.

You're losing your theme now, tho'. The 40g was looking very S.American, whilst the other had the S.E.Asia Java fern look.

I think he does indeed use co2, if i remember correctly he has/had a home made one.

I had to jump back and check the dates ! I thought Nick was reposting his lost Photobucket pics.

Yeah, he definitely uses CO2, parked out back, next to his 'Still'.
