I am so excited. Was walking through my LFS the other day, and i spot a tank full of multies. The owner doesn't know what he has, and gave me 6 for 5 dollars. Usually the cheapest you can get this for is 6 for 30 dollars. Score!! _________________

Neolamprologus Multifasciatus! I am so excited! They are shell dwelling dwarf lake tang cichlids. The cutest thing ever. They have all already claimed their own shells. They make me happy LOL _________________

HAR HAR HAR. You guys are pretty funny. These are shell dwelling african cichlids. Some say the smallest cichlid that has ever lived. They are from Lake Tanganiyka wich is one of the famous rift lakes the other are Malawi, and Victoria. Unlike Malawi and most Victorian cichlids these guys thrive on a high protein diet (no worry for bloat!!)and live in huge family groups were the adolescent help raise the fry. These guys will charge the largest fish without hesitation for comming close to their shells. These guys will pair or harem breed so it is always ideal to keep more males than females in the home aquarium, and these guys are acutally not monomorphic!!! YAY!!! The males will be larger than the females. The move substrate like a bulldozer and this is a sign breeding intent, but you will never know the breeding was successfull until you spot new fry hovering around the entrance to the shell. They are very fun to keep and i think everybody should keep some type of shell dwelling cichlid. _________________
