Something a bit strange...

Yesterday I wander by the small tank. The water was cloudy, and all the Bristlenose were out, hanging on the glass not far from the surface. And a more ominous sign, the snails were all up there with them.

I had a bit of sniff, and that didn't seem too good either. It all seemed ok the day before. So, 30% water change, with a bit of Sera Aquatan water conditioner. And skipped the days feeding.

This morning, the tank is crystal clear, no adverse smell, all the fishes, happy as larry.

And I have no idea as to what happened there...

Very strange indeed, sounds like there was a water quality problem, which is why all ocupants were up near the surface, you havent overfed have you ? Or anything rotting in the tank is there ?

No changes in the feeding.

If something was rotting, I wouldn't think it'd clear up so soon.

It get's one or two changes a week, depending if I'm in the mood. 25 to 33 %, that's 1/4 to 1/3 for you imperial dudes.

Filter is an Ehiem 2213. It's capacity (vol) is almost 10% of the tank. It was last cleaned 4 weeks back, in tank water.

It's still crystal clear, now. Which is more than usual. Maybe I had some gunk lodged in the pipes, and it came loose ? I dunno.

Fish seem happy, and that's what counts.
