My L18 was fine this morning when I left for work. I came home and he is a whitish-pink. You almost can't see his white spots hes so pale. The newest addition to the tank is a piece of driftwood that was soaked for a week in the tub. I filled the tub up with hot water on Monday. On Wednesday I drained the tub, rinsed the wood with hot water, refilled the tub with hot water. Drained the tub again on Saturday and rinsed the wood with hot water again. I lthen let it cool and put it in the tank. Ammonia-0, nitrite-0, nitrate-0, ph-7, temp-78-80F. I took him oput of the 135 and put him in the 50. None of my other fish look sick. My female L183 is ALWAYS on the new wood and she looks great. Whats going on here?

Is anything bothering the L18 ? As loss of coloure can be stress related. Is the fish eating as normal ? Also is behaviour (apart from colour loss) normal ?

I scared him off of the zuchini yesterday morning when I took the updated 135 pics. He seems somewhat unafraid of me as when I was trying to catch him last night to transfer him, he stood his ground as if my hand were a plec. I don't know which of the fish could stress him out that bad. He hangs out on one side of the tank and the other 70% of the fish are on the other. The only fish that are near where he rests is the featherfin, L183, angelicus and the female krib.

Are the finns in one piece ? Are there any visable cuts, abrasions or wounds ? How is the fish looking now ? Can you post a picture ?

Fins are of normal color and no cuts or tears. There doesn't appear to be any body damage. I can try and get a pic tonight if hes still pale.

I still think its stress related but if you can get a pic that would be good, mind you if the colour is back to normal when you get home, then it will tell you something

Hes back to normal now. I thought L27 might have a beef with him because of size, but they were eating side by side on the same piece of squash. Looks like the 50 gallon is where he'll stay until he gets too big.

Glad to hear that he/she is back to normal colour Very Happy Going by that i would say you are probably doing the right thing in sticking with the 50 till size requires a change Wink
