Ok, its day 2 we have just put the frontosa's, humpheads{?},
kribensis's and a couple of bristlenose and our sail fin [that has copped a beating from an undisclosed source in our big tank] in a few hours ago. I have taken some pictures so we'll see how they go.

Oh the sail fin is happy enough, But he has taken a bit of a beating on his top fin and tail. He was in with heaps of other fish a community tank and has never been a problem but we have our suspicions that it may have been the cuban. Well he should find himself a little happier in this tank. |

The tank looks fantastic! The Frontosa's and the large boulders, really set each other off nicely. _________________ Angels, Black Mollies, Bristlenose', Clown Loaches, Cory Aeneus, Gibby, Guppies, Hockey-stick Tetras, Keyhole Cichlids, Otocinclus. |

So, everyone settled in? How are things looking?
What sort of stand do you have there? Looks like treated pine. Pretty rugged to take that size tank?
I was thinking, if you could reproduce that last pic, in focus this time (sorry!),
I may make it our first "Photo of the Month" !
Bare in mind, it's not just the fish - Cruising past the 'Olgas' there, is all part of the 'feel'.

Lol Kana, it is treated pine but thats just a cover over the reinforced steel....my hubby is a builder / weilder. Its strong dont worry. Besides that the base is also dynobolted in to our slab.
The 4x2x2 is looking great , we have a few more plants and its looking nice.
We have set up just our standard 4 foot with our cuckoo cats and our pair of venustus. Its looking good too although the tank is old and has many scratches...we can not upgrade to another though until we extend our home and that wont be happening in the too near future.

Fair.
I can't remember if you were into Coldwater Natives at all? Much of our local species would be suited to large tank size. Seeing Bundy's, and Ron's Cod's (so to speak), has got me thinking in that direction.
Just a quick note for everyone, I've altered the image coding in this Topic. If you just see code without any image, go to your Profile settings, and set HTML to On. _________________ Angels, Black Mollies, Bristlenose', Clown Loaches, Cory Aeneus, Gibby, Guppies, Hockey-stick Tetras, Keyhole Cichlids, Otocinclus. |
