Some fish was having a good time chewing on the male guppies fins. I noticed that they were a little tattered, but nothing serious. The next day the one that had the biggest caudal only had his pectorals left and the other had half of his tail gone. I suspected the rainbow cichlids as we didn't have a problem before them. I put them in the Q tank with some pima and mela and they are stating to grow back. I noticed that they spar with each other in the q tank. Do they do this much damage to one another? |

When I moved the guppies to the q tank, my wife grabbed the nets from me and put them in the 135. She was a little pissed that they beat up her beautiful guppies. |

Ah, you've gotta laugh !
I've not had any real fin nipping problems. A couple of the young Clown Loaches took to following the Anglefishes dangly bits, for a bit of a nibble, but that didn't last long.
It was funny to watch though. They were latching on fairly well, and the Angel trying to move forward, and getting nowhere. It's making these little 'tugging' movements, trying to figure out what's wrong. The Clown of course, is behind the Angel, out of site. _________________ Angels, Black Mollies, Bristlenose', Clown Loaches, Cory Aeneus, Gibby, Guppies, Hockey-stick Tetras, Keyhole Cichlids, Otocinclus. |
