Yes, blessed again. My Balloon Cory squeezed more out this morning. And just when I thought I was going to get a break! The fourth batch for this year. Batch 0601 is doing fine with 26 Cory's. Batch 0602 of which I had 6 fry, have all escaped from the enclosure. Batch 0603 was not fertile.
I did two 30% water changes yesterday, 1 morning, 1 evening. And I gave the filter a jolly good rinsing in that second water change, so the pump was really moving that water overnight. The water was lovely and clear this morning.
Here's a few of the eggs on Sword Plant, and Glass. Note the little Cory's in the background (Batch #0601). There are eggs everywhere, and not all grouped. They were stuck to fins, and whiskers, and just floating in the current! I have a video that I'll link here, but am having Host upload problems at the moment...

Do you mean just the eggs in the picture?
If so, I should point out that you can barely see some more through the leaf on the left. And there are many out of frame. She also laid on the bottom and far end of the enclosure. I don't know how many are on other Sword leaves (far more than you see here!). And this morning there was a whole fresh batch up the far end of the tank! I'm unsure of wether that was from the same Female or not.
But a late thought... I reference my batches sequentially by number. Do you reference yours by quantity? If so, I didn't get 604 eggs - but then again, I haven't collected them yet!

In addition to the eggs you see here, I found three other clusters on the glass, and two large clusters on Sword leaves. There were easily in excess of 500 eggs. (This is the same cluster as shown above, but from the other side).
Unfortunately, as the picture shows, a large proportion are not fertile. I'd estimated that I may have only 10% hatch. In the end, I had 5 eggs hatch. And this morning I found in my fry enclosure, 1 juvenile Guppy, and no Cory Fry!

Interesting that so many were infertile.
As you know, I usually spawn paleatus - but I've had two aeneus spawns lately & a huge portion were infertile. I wonder if it's a species thing or if they're just still young & inexperienced?

I was just walking out the door today, when I spotted a couple of Cory's in an unusual position. I was peering at them, thinking 'What are they up to?'. Then it dawned on me - the 'T-position' !! Three years of breeding Cory's, and I've never seen the buggers do it! (and no Camera in reach!)
Anyway, when I got back home, sure enough, eggs on glass, eggs on plants. I'm hoping these females are beginning to sort the process out! This will be batch 0606, and if they're fertile, the first I'll rear at room temp. Trying out a few ideas I got from 'Plecs' and 'PepperedGary'.
A lot of emphasis on feeding regime. Frequent water changes. Watching those Nitrates.
