Does anyone know what happened to the stocks of weather loach. They were my favorite when I was young but have not seen them for years.

I can only guess that wild stock may have been somewhat depleted. Crying or Very sad

i had to google it as i've not heard of a weather loach but its kinda funny as when i looked at the pics i suddenly remembered that a week or so ago when i was looking in a LFS i noticed these guys. i cant remember what they called them but i'm pretty sure it was the same thing. they werent cheep i remember and it also said on the tank 'very rare'. so i guess they are not popular or easy to get for some reason.

The reason you don't see them in shops (or shouldn't in the UK anyways) is they're now under

bit of legislation. Its also the same reason why you shouldn't see bitterling and a few other colder water fish that used to be common.

So that's the 'Dojo' that everyone was talking about earlier in the year.

See? This site's not so bad, I've learned 'Yoyo', and 'Dojo' !

Speak this and other oriental languages, here on Aquatic Babble...
