The tank looks magnificent! I hope you'll share a few more pics of it. A 6 footer from memory?
I reckon Mike is the man for ID'ing that fish. _________________ Angels, Black Mollies, Bristlenose', Clown Loaches, Cory Aeneus, Gibby, Guppies, Hockey-stick Tetras, Keyhole Cichlids, Otocinclus. |

Thanks, We love it too, cant wait till the plants grow a bit more too. Our tank is 6x20 inchx2.
We origanally had our 5 oscars along with everything else and it was a lovely community tank. But we sold 3 of our oscars and moved the other 2 out to our 2x2x2 tank. We did this so we could put more fish in the tank. Ever since our poor 2 oscars have been serverly depressed. They really must miss the other fish...So today we are going to swap them for something else.
Ive since got a few more catfish . And thanks to a borrowed camera { flash is broken on ours} We have gone trigger happy getting photo's.So i may continue too bore those who care to look with them!

I'd have thought if the Oscar's are depressed, that swapping them would be worse. Wouldn't they then run the risk of being separated?
I'm interested in what lighting you have there. It has quite a 'blue' quality. Is it Metal Halide, or Mercury Vapour...?

Um, Kana all i can tell you is that the lights are Bio lux {dont know if thats the correct spelling} A man we know who has a great setup of tanks , Plants and fish recommended them to us and we love it.
Unfortunatly, we did get rid of the oscars to that same man so we know that they wont be seperated and he put them in with some young chiclids and they immediately brightened up and were happy again. We swapped him for a thick skin, Quite a big bristle nose, red jewels and a hungi { or something like that} We are very happy as he is really great to us. Oh and i got the female kribensis ive been wanting to get for ages but havent seen any. |

That's ok, I can look it up. It sounds like you've done well with this bloke, seeing as you're not handy to any Aquariums.
How did you fare with the Discus? _________________ Angels, Black Mollies, Bristlenose', Clown Loaches, Cory Aeneus, Gibby, Guppies, Hockey-stick Tetras, Keyhole Cichlids, Otocinclus. |

I passed on the discus info to the folks as thats who wanted them. . They are keeping an eye out still. They use to breed discus several years ago and had 10 breeding pair. Unfortunately some fish they got from melbourne had gill fluke [ ? ] and they lost a fair few of their fish. So they got out of it and are ready to get back in the saddle again. |

Right.
Did you take any pics of your tanks development, during setup? _________________ Angels, Black Mollies, Bristlenose', Clown Loaches, Cory Aeneus, Gibby, Guppies, Hockey-stick Tetras, Keyhole Cichlids, Otocinclus. |

Also, how much did that Sailfin cost you?

Hi Jack,
Well our black ghost knife is only young. He is only about 3 inches. Always wanted one and got him and he is lovely , he often cleans our little bronze cory.
Our sailfin cost us $50. He is a great addition to the tank. He has grown a lot since we got him! We dont have much to choose from with the aquarium shops round here so im not sure if that was a good or bad price! On the other hand for the plec in one of the pic's i posted {sorry about the double image tags, kana!!} Cost me $80 but as i said there is nothing in aquarium shops round our area so when they get something good you pay for it!!
Just an example....we got a cuckcoo cat from the goldcoast , QLD , a few months back for $37. From our local places here they want $99 per cuckoo..... |

Thanks for the reply, I asked about the Ghost Knife because at the store where I got mine, the guy said they had another Ghost Knife that grew to 2ft in a 30" tank! |
