Why is it if I take away from my sig and submit it, it's all of the sudden 'too long'? How can a subtraction amount to an addition?

You know, as I wrote that last sentence, I thought of a way to have an almost unlimited Signature (in theory)... I may be able to adapt the coding I use to drive the new graphics here, but to drive a text message instead...

check out my new sig. i used Paint Shop Pro (similar to Photo Shop), copied the forum colour as the background and used the txt tool to update my tank list. i saved it as a JPG at highest quality and it's only 41.5 kb but cantains all my fish Very Happy

hopefully this is within the bounderies and if so, shows what can be done with 5 mins to spare and a graphic program.

It's not really taking any extra page space. I'm on Broadband at some ridiculous speed, so loading isn't a hassle at my end.

I've used a GIF for my Fish Silhouettes, and so the balance of the image is transparent. The alternating tones don't worry it.

Unfortunately, small text doesn't always lend itself well, to the process. You get 'blobby' lettering.
