This is my Murray Cod, he is about 13" (A bit over 30cm) had him for around 10 months now, got him at 5cm.

Up for sale if anyones intrested. Not real keen on shipping though. Keep in mind he will kill everything and anything so would have to be kept by himself.

It's a beauty! Still quite a small one 'tho.

Rob, you should grab it as a mate for your other one!

For all you other's, this is the biggest freshwater fish you can get in Australia. The largest I've seen, albeit mounted on a wall, was longer than my arm span.

For the average fish-keeper, there's no keeping this fish indoors for the long term. It's for the swimming pool, dam, or dinner plate!

I don't suggest it Razz The bigger one is gonna have a nice meal.

When mine was about 10cm, I put in another cod about 7cm, came back into my room later that day and could only see one really fat 10cm cod with a tail haning out his mouth. Also tried a tandanus catfish, same story.

I had no idea they were agressive. So they generally don't get on with each other, or is the normal fishy 'if you fit in my mouth, then you will!' sort of thing?

Is it a Male to Male / Female to Female thing, similiar to some Catfish?

Or doesn't it matter, except at breeding time?

I can just imagine it. Water, fins, and netting, in all directions ! Yelling out to the missus, "I'll sit on him, you get the dart gun!"
