Yeah Kana3, I read somewhere that fish enjoy nibbling on plants, so I was looking for a plant that would suit Corydoras Aeneus.

If fish want a bit of plant in their diet I find it as easy to drop a bit of cucumber, few peas or some potato/melon in the tank for them to munch on. Its stuff thats lying round anyways and keeps them off the plants I'd like to grow (if I could Wink).

I don't think I've ever heard of Cory's nibbling on live plants. I understand they eat vegetable matter, but I'm under the impression that it's pretty much pulp, by the time they get it.

None of mine have ever indicated an interest in live plants. They do however, scoot up and down leaves to pick up any food crumbs.

Certainly, in line with Monkehs comments, the Suckermouth Catfishes love their vege's, and I believe a few particular plants.

Live-Bearer's are good plant eaters. Mollies, Guppies, Platies. But when they take a real liking to a plant, you can kiss it good-bye.

I think I understand the question.

Eat or not, they do like rooting through plants.

Java Ferns are nice since you can plant them pretty densely. As far as ones they will nibble on...

Hornwort is cheap, grows like crazy & I've seen mine nibbling on it.

If you have high enough light power, pretty much all fish I've had love to strip Anacharis (spelling?) At least mine have eaten it down to stalks before - including corys.

But what the rest of the people here are telling you is true...you don't have to "feed" corys live plants. They may nibble a bit - or appear to nibble, but it's not necessary.

If you're concerned with good cory nutrition, nothing beats an occasional or regular feeding of frozen bloodworms. That'll keep them happy, fat & healthy!

Enjoy your corys - As you can see by the name....I love mine.
