funky i would still say this is not an synodontis eupterus as the pattening is not the same as it is light brown to dark gray in color and covered in small dark spots. The fins also have spots and the tail is striped & the dorsal fin dont look right but i could be wrong check this link out

I guess its still too young to distinguish. My cat has similar patterning as the eupterus, but is alot darker in color. Syn. sp.5 doesn't look like it, even the juvies look different than when I first got it.

Is that the same Plec in the third shot? I suspect it isn't, but it's difficult to gauge the size, or more importantly, the growth, of your Synodontis whateveryouregunnacallus (new class!). But his Dorsal Fin has certainly shot up.

The plec in shots 1 & 2 is L90 and the plec in shot 3 is L127. I like the synodontis whateveryouregunnacallus classification or synodontis cantfigureoutwhat-thehellitis.
