No picutres of the convicts....Every time you even went near the tank her gills would flare. This morning though we discovered she ate them. Crying or Very sad Oh well , maybe next time.

unfortunatetly it happens to us all along the way but i like to think that when it happens its all part of the learning curve mind you i sometimes wish it wont so big

I've had three or four Keyhole Cichlid spawns, no results yet !

All I know for sure, is that the last batch didn't appear to be fertile. The previous batches all disappeared overnight.

are they both mature ? what else is in the tank with them ? parent fish will eat there own eggs if they feel threatend or they were eaten by one of there tank mates

I suspected other fish at first, but they were well prepared to take my finger off, when I attempted to siphon off some eggs.

For a couple of bland, unassuming looking fish, they don't hold back when they need to.

nice tank! ....is that a little tandanus in there? if so how big is he and how do you find him with others?....also pardon my ignorance but what is the yellow fish behind the knife and the pakistani?
