I picked up a golden wonder killi for my 10 gallon planted and i just love him. He hunted down and ate the last of my ghost shrimp, but that is ok cuz he is pretty. I am going to have my wife take some pics of him. His name is Kin.

This is not the prettiest of varieties, but by far one of the easiest to care for, and not a bad looker at all. Yellow with hints of red on the far reaches of the finnage. Great personality too. It was so cool to watch this hunt down my ghost shrimp.

I love killies! just make sure your lid is well and sealed especially b/c you have 1 by himself. You should really get an even number with equal sex ratio. In the wild these fish live in small pools and streams where if they're stuck somewhere without potential mates they flip out and flop across the mud to a new stream/pool. I lost a number of killies the first time I tried keeping them b/c I didn't know this and hadn't asked for the right fish. Sexing is not too hard, the males anal fins are longer and pointier, I believe, it's been a few years since I've had them. The will eat anything that fits in their rather large mouth too Sad I had one of mine slurp up the new kuhli loaches I bought as I released them from the net, he thought they were spaghetti! They also are fairly resistant to drying out. I found one on the floor covered in carpet fuzz one day, when I picked it up it wriggled a little so I rinsed it off and tossed it in the tank and it was fine! Oh and if your killie is the same "golden wonder" killies that I used to have the scientific name is something like Aplochelius linneatus Smile
