My wife has a great eye for snails in the tanks. One is long and slender and the other is a typical snail, I guess. Is there any way to i.d. these?

In a word yes, post pictures and lets have a look.
the one that is long and slender, sounds like it could be a trumpet snail, and the other one could be a ramshorn, but pictures could help with a positive id

Pretty much a definate on the trumpet, but depending on the size the typical could be a number of things. Pics would definatly help though. Even different types of ramshorns look different.

Some people may say the Malaysian Snail is long and slender.

My Clown Loaches are getting lots of treats of these, right now.

They are in the hospital tank because I don't have any cats in there regularly, or at least I shouldn't.
