I tried some King Prawn, for the first time last night.
It appeared untouched this morning, but one of our Clown Loaches was dead. In fact he looked like a couple of raspers had had a go. And he was alive last night, in case you ask.
Anyway, I don't know if it's related. Certainly the Missus is blaming me for killing her Loach.
Last time I fed Blood-Worms, I lost a Cory. Perhaps fresh foods are not for me (except fruit) ? _________________ Angels, Black Mollies, Bristlenose', Clown Loaches, Cory Aeneus, Gibby, Guppies, Hockey-stick Tetras, Keyhole Cichlids, Otocinclus. |

I would not have thought the prawn would have caused a problem, as i feed my clowns on prawns, and they love it. What did you do with the prawn ? was it cooked or not ? The reason for the look as if couple of raspers had had a go, is they posibly have as all fish, will feed on a carcase, especialy your bristle noses and gibby, your just gonna have to by the missus some MORE clown loaches to replace the lost one. Did you check the body ? Clown loaches are very susceptible to ich, just a thought _________________ the only stupid questions are the ones you dont ask

Un-cooked. Although it was slightly done by the next morning. _________________ Angels, Black Mollies, Bristlenose', Clown Loaches, Cory Aeneus, Gibby, Guppies, Hockey-stick Tetras, Keyhole Cichlids, Otocinclus. |

Well i cant see the prawn being a problem, and yes i would suggest that any uneaten prawns are removed. So i would think there must have been something wrong with the clown _________________ the only stupid questions are the ones you dont ask

Just coincidence then.
I'm wondering if perhaps it may have choked on a mouthfull. But I didn't think to check until afterwards. _________________ Angels, Black Mollies, Bristlenose', Clown Loaches, Cory Aeneus, Gibby, Guppies, Hockey-stick Tetras, Keyhole Cichlids, Otocinclus. |

What kind of bloodworms offed your fish before? My Discus, angels & corys get them every day with no problems. I use Hikari...supposedly the safest out there. You might give em a try if they're available in the UK. Ever heard of it? _________________ Like Fish Forums?

Yeah, our lease ran out many moons ago ! But, Gary, you can pick me up on your way past, on the bike !
We have Hikari. In fact I mentioned a couple in my 'Pantry' thread, recently.
The worms, I'm not sure what they are. They're fresh-frozen, so most likely local. The rest are still in the freezer. I just keep forgetting about them. _________________ Angels, Black Mollies, Bristlenose', Clown Loaches, Cory Aeneus, Gibby, Guppies, Hockey-stick Tetras, Keyhole Cichlids, Otocinclus. |
