Test images for size comparison, and fit. To establish a 'standard' for displaying 'official' AB images.
This first one, is the same size as the pics I normally post, 550 by 412.
This second, standard 640 by480 (regardless of what's written on it).
Third, standard 800 by 600. Watermark at 10%. Credits at 16.

800 by 600 is a perfect screen fit for me. Up, Down, and Right hand side.
Watermark could possibly drop to 5%. But I'm working on an inverse outline version.
Credit text, doesn't need to be any larger. Not sure about reducing it. Could do with a spell-check but ! |

The machines are slowwww today !
No, I typo'd our site URL.
What I really need is for a person or two, to let me know which size image they think is ok for the Gallery, so I can start posting them up.
All our blurbs say "great pics", but they're not all here !!!
This size will apply to ALL AB's 'official' Gallery pics, for consistancy, now and future. So, real important, I wanna get them done. _________________ Angels, Black Mollies, Bristlenose', Clown Loaches, Cory Aeneus, Gibby, Guppies, Hockey-stick Tetras, Keyhole Cichlids, Otocinclus. |

Well, I know where to find Gary. Funky's about the only other regular attendee.
If you go too big, depending on what you started with, the picture gets grainy. Most Digital Cameras spit out larger than 800x600, these days, so that would work fine.
If it turns out, we have good pic, but it's small, and enlarging it looks shit, I can just 'frame' it. Then it'll be consistant on the page.

The 800x600 fits my screen too
But it does cause the rest of the screen (borders etc) scroll a bit L to R.
I've wondered about that myself & don't really know what to do about it. _________________ Like Fish Forums?

Thanks, Gary. I'll take that as an 'ok'.
You mean the whole Topic goes wide for you ? My Windows screen size is 1024 x 768. I use Firefox. If I use IE, I get 3/4 inch horizontal scroll. |

I'm with Gary. I know my old arse digi cam is only capable of 2 MPs. I know alot of cameras these days are capable of over 5. |

The answers are getting more cryptic, but I think I'm ok to go with 800x600. |
