My eldest Daughter convinced me to acquire a few Mollies. That and Billy-Bones' assurance that we needn't worry too much about the 'brackish' aspect.

We've brought home one male, and two females. Hopefully we'll get a bit of breeding going, that'll give the Guppies a run for their money. And with a bit more trade-in potential too, I would think.

The kids have always liked the idea of hand-feeding. I've always found Mollies are a delight for showing off that ability. Mind you, Cathryns managed it with one of the Angels !

Mollies dont need to be kept in brackish water, as they can thrive very well in fresh, you will also find they will beed better than your mollies, i used to have mollies many years ago for that reason (very prolific breeding) Wink

I had some lovely Lyre Tails years ago. But the young all ended up as Angel poo, then my female exploded. I don't what happened, but I came home, she was belly up, with a hole in her you could poke the rear end of a pencil through.

Sounds as though that could have been an ulcer or a tumour

Yeah, I guess. Never showed any discomfort though. And I, of course, assumed she was gravid.
