I went camera happy last night. I unfortunately didn't get any photo's of my new fish: I believe it is a golden nugget pleco (L018), but the dots on the pleco are a lot tinier and the density of dots is more abundant then what i have seen on the net. I will get its photo as soon as it settles in the tank.

Red Texas #1 (in his "guarding the eggs" color, he/she is mean to everyone right now):

Red Texas #2 (relative of the first red texas.):

Red Terror and Severum (being constantly beat up by Red Texas #1):

Long tail Albino Oscar (glutton):

Jack Dempsey (newest "cichlid", intended to be friends with EBJD):

Electric Blue Jack Dempsey:

Oh, i am totally ready for the agression. I also have a large flowerhorn (photos not included), who just this week killed the only fish in his tank, a full grown chocolete pleco. I have also had a breading pair of red devil's, a manganese, and a breeding pair of texas cichlids. I enjoy the challenge, and it keeps me on my toes. Smile

Cluckster,

When the new pleco decides to mello out and stop hiding, I will post some photo's and you can help me identify the exact "L" connotation. Thanks for giving me the info. I had a feeling this guy had different kinds associated with it.

Some photos would go a long way in helping id which gold nugget you have but an even better method, if you know it would be a catch location, which is easier said than found out
(By the way the name is clunkster)

Sorry about the name error. I am one of those people who reads a name, but says it entirely differently, and then spells it wrong in the future. My bad.

I will try to catch it sometime, and get the photo. good idea. thanks man.

I'm with cluckster << Laughing . Sounds like the plec is a L81. L18 has big spots and more of them than the the L177. I have noticed that most of the L81s are almost black in color which would mean they are very difficult to keep alive past 2 weeks. Get some pics so we can properly ID it.

Some very nice fishes there !

That Jack Dempsey is a bit razzle-dazzle when he catches the light.

For a very short time during the year, my lounge tank can catch some late afternoon rays. And when they hit the right fish at the right angle, it's magnificent to see.
