Some of my latest...

Let's play I-Spy....How many plecs do you see here?

And my whiskered pride & joy....Goldie...

Goldie's growing up nicely, huh?

Soon, I'm going to back off to 2 or 3 each of the BN & ABN. Possibly get rid of the clowns, too....maybe even the paleatus and metea corys. Why? Cause nothin' on this eath poops like a pleco.

Yeah. I didn't mean they were -- they're just something I was considering thinning out, too.

curious ... do you guys find that there is much battling amongst your cats. my male and female BNs are always squabbling. i cant help wonder if different type of cats fight with each other or is it just the same type sorting out pecking orders and such?

I watched my overweight L104 head up against my in shape L106. I think they were battling over territory rights. Lasted about a minute, but L106 was so fired up he went after a neon that got a little too close. The beginning round went to L104, 10 to 9 because it looked like L106 couldn't take the hard blows from the bigger fish. L106 was just resting to light up L104 knowing he was tired. L106 was sucking on and out maneuvering L104 in the later rounds. It was really fun to watch. At one point L104 was trying to beat up a piece of driftwood because he could L106 on the other side, but was too big to fit under the wood to get at him. I scored it 1st round 10 - 9, L104 2nd round 9 - 10, L106 3rd round 9 - 10, L106. The winner and STILL the lightweight champion of the tank, L106!

Thanks! I LOVE that fish, too. It's always a treat to see it since it stays in the back among the wood until evening.

As far as the aggressiveness conversation above - I guess I've been lucky. Apart from an occasional "get out of my way" bump - my plecs get along great.

Oh - the other day I scrambled to grab my camera but the moment had passed by the time I did...

I had a little Oto land on the head of a brown BN - facing the same way and everything - they sat there like that for about a minute. (About ten second less than I needed to get my camera found & ready)
