How big do Tiger Sharks get ?

I saw one in an Aquarium, a couple of weeks back, and it wasn't any larger than that.

Here's some others, the kids were having a play with (me too !) at KLCC Aquarium. Sorry, it's a dark room, and the pools are 'back-lit'.

Tiger sharks grow up to 20 feet (6 m). On average they are about 10 feet (3 m) long.
Very nice getting up close and personal with sharks, funily enough i am fasinated about sharks, and would love to live where you do as i could then go down in a cage with Carcharodon carcharias other wise known as the great white, now that would be awsome Very Happy

There's been a few people in Australia go down with the Great White over the years. A couple only got as far as the teeth, then came back.

Here's another Sharky shot for you. I have even better stuff, if anyone is interested.

some of the best fun i had in the Maldives was playing with sharks, mostly baby ones up to about 3 feet. i used to chase them about the lagoons and try to catch their tails. occasionaly i would grab one for a second but usualy they'd just have a burst of speed the second before i grabbed them and wizz off.

i was even feeding them by hand a few times but stopped when a couple tried to take a chunk out of my calf. there have never been any shark attacks in the maldives and i didnt want to be indirectly responsible for any furture attacks.

i got to see some bigger ones up to about 6 foot in deeper water. these were all mostly black tipped reef sharks and a couple of nurse sharks.

i'd have crapped myself if i'd seen a tiger or great white, but thankfully for the Maldivians the water around the Maldives tends to be too warm for them.

saying that, with global warming British waters could end up being home to some of these larger sharks. Shocked
