fishy condoms, fishy estrogen?? Wink

... other than a tank divider, which is still separating them of course, i am afraid my limited knowledge doesn't have an answer for you.

i am interested to know if there is an answer and hopefully one of our more experienced posters will let us know.

Personaly i dont think there is a way you could do it with out seperating the fish, as i would say that they are not F1s (wild caught fish), but are tank bred so i think you will find they can breed quite easily, mind saying that possibly lower the temp, but that can create problems in its self, as changing any of the water stats will. Tell them to look on the bright side, they are obviously looking after the fish (water) very well Very Happy

Only after I kept harping on them about changing the water and giving them a gravel vacuum.

I guess so. Actually the 2 green terrors were in seperate tanks. When they moved into their new house they setup the 70 gallon they had in the garage. They put all of the fish they had into the 70 gallon. I now have 3 of their fish in the 135.

This is why i class myself as a keeper of water, because if i look after the water the fish will look after themselves Wink

I'm still uncertain. They don't want them to breed, because they want their Bala Shark back.

They're worried about the Shark getting beat up ?

They're worried about the Shark eating the young ?

They're not equipped to care for the young.

I don't think the second and third options would be a worry, if you really don't want them to breed. Just let 'em be eaten.

The shark was getting beat up and eating the fry. My wife told them they could have visiting rights. She was also telling me we could get another shark to keep the one we have company.

Can't have too many. With all the fish that get BIG, my 135 is looking awful small.
