First can i just say hi and hate-welkom Wink
Was about to ask where you hail from but then having read your post again i notice you say the "states". Now as i am on the other side of the pond, i cant really answer why you are having problems with the fish you are looking for, all i can assume is where you are, there cant be a very big demand for them. Have you tried asking your local shops to order them in ? As most good shops will try to get hold of the fish you want if they can.

Yay! A new member! Welcome Very Happy
I'm in Connecticut, and I haven't seen white cloud minnows much either. I wanted to get some at one point, but never did. Actually I may have seen them once, but I can't remember where. May have been a PetCo. We have a lot of wild minnow though (or some type of smaller fish) around here in our big pond. Zebra danios are good fish, they should have them at Petsmart. Try looking at other pet stores if you can.

We dont have a petland or a petsmart over here. Mind you we can get plenty of the fish you are looking for, as they are what is classed as "bread and butter" fish by a lot of the lfs, will have to wait and see what Funky has to say on this subject, seeing he works in a lfs Wink
See the boss is back Wink

Most blue gill, small and large mouth bass are protected. Thats why you can't keep them. I ALWAYS have white cloud mountain minnows, danios. There is a paradise fish that has been in the store for a LONG time. There isn't a huge demand for them here.
