Well I am back its been kind of a hectic few months, started with the plecs our one Royal was a mean SOB and took it upon himself to kill everything in the tank (plec wise) except the clowns... So he got traded and the tank has fancy goldfish in it...
Me and my wife are expecting another daughter in March so to make room in the living room she wanted to get rid of her 55 set up but I talked her into letting me keep the tank in the basement and just getting rid of her piranha... So someone is coming to get them Saturday....Still undescided on what to get for the tank me and the oldest daughter (shes nearly 7) want to breed fish but are at odds between corys (could get a nice shoal in a 55) or albino Bn....Trouble is with bn around here youre looking at inch size then having to spend ages growing them out so we will just have to see.....
Then on top of all this we rescued a puppy someone opened their house door let 2 puppies out then hopped in their car and drove off.. I took them home and left our number and got them signed over to us... We kept the male and gave the female to a friend.. When we took him to the vets he said he wasnt even 12 weeks old and weighed 23 pounds lol.... Now at 6 months he is like 50 pounds so he is gonna be a monster....

Nice to see you back You should find that both species that you have mentioned are easy to get too breed (apart from some corys). It might help if you see which fish are easily come by in your area, and try to find some thing that is not, then you should have very little problem moving the young on.

both are pretty easy to come by around here, I have a really good LFS that would take all fry off of our hands regardless of which we get..... bn,s would be a little less work on my side with raising etc but I think my daughter would find the corys more entertaining ....
Last time I bred corys we managed to have like 4 species spawning at the same time and I was no where near ready for them If we go that route we would definately have live food cultures started beforehand

Is a very good idea to have plenty of live foods available for fry, as it will help with the growth. Keep us informed as to which species you go with, if not both
