Hi, and thanks for joining this site. It's kind of quiet here now since many of the members have stopped posting, but there's still a few of us here.
I hope you're enjoying aquarium keeping. I've had my 50 gallon tank for a few years now. I started out with 2 feeder goldfish, and now have a whole assortment of different fish. I currently have some gouramis, green catfish, a few tetras and a lone danio, as well as a few others. I also am keeping 3 tanks at school, a goldfish tank, a pond habitat aquarium, and a saltwater tank, as well as an experiment with a self sustaining guppy tank.
I've always liked planted tanks. My aquarium at home is loaded with huge java ferns and some type of amazon sword like plant, both of which are blocking much of the light to the smaller plants I have underneath. I think the java fern is great since it grows very quickly with minimal care, and you can give the spare plants to people or add it to other tanks.
