If you're like me, and have one of those stupid Spa-bath contraptions, that don't have a flat surface under the tap, then you have trouble filling your bucket.

Leaning over the Bath, trying to hold the Bucket to the stream of water, is a fair effort as well.

Rather than go out and buy a piece of hose, what Ive done here, is simply detach the thick end of my Gravel-Vac. Slide it up onto the tap, resting the other end into the bucket. It doesn't fall off, as the gentle lean of the Bucket, holds it in place by friction.

Works a treat !

I must have been lazy i bought a bit of hose pipe to fill my buckets, mind you i also fill up my buckets at the sink, but that could have somthing to do with the fact the bath is upstairs, and my tanks are downstairs Wink

You reckon you were lazy ? Hey, I didn't even leave the house !

I sort of wish I was back in the country, in the 'homestead'.

With the house on 'stilts', you can run a water pipe (and drain) anywhere you like, right up next to the tank(s).

Now that would make life so much easier, durring water changes, mind you when i remove water from my tanks i just put the tubing in the tank, open the back door, lift the drain cover, and start siphioning the water out, it dont take too long Laughing

The usual time, when the parents kick you out. When I went off to Uni, about '83. Never really made my way back.

The place we're in here, is on concrete, so that limits things a bit. Although I have toyed with the idea of running a hose, for each way (siphon / refill).

I'd like a fool-proof way to attach the tank end of the hose. I guess a plastic U-piece would probably do the job both ways, if it dips in far enough, and ring-clamp a fish guard.

We don't actually use the spa-bath. Jeez, they waste some water. I think the kids had a go in it once. The shower attachment is there, and the bath's big enough to not need a splash screen. I like that aspect.

I would drop the detachable Shower-head into the bucket, but at any useful pressure, the damn thing snakes all over the bathroom !

Maybe I get you to do a write up on it, with some decent pics. There wasn't much to see on that site.

I'm sure I've read about them somewhere.
