L083/L165/L196 Glptoperichthys gibbyceps (sailfinn plec) this one is about 10"


the following two pictures are of the smaller one about 6"


sorry the pictures are not up to the same quality as other members but i only have a camera on me phone (now i know how to upload photos i might have to invest in a digital camera)

I love the patterning and color of the sailfin. When I was younger I would hunt through all the commons to try and find a miss placed/labeled sailfin.

i still do thats how i aquired the one in the bottom 2 pictures

oh yes Very Happy got it from a shop i very rarely buy any fish from as its one of those pet supermarket places the young lass was just gonna catch the first common that she could seemed most put out as she had to catch a certain one when she could'nt see any differance Laughing

it never seems to amaze me,as i dont think they are that hard to identify but as you say the untrained eye, mind you some of the Lnumbers can be a totaly differnt kettle of fish so to speak

Yes some of the L #'s can be a PITA to try and identify, even for professionals.
