i thought i'd do a little post here, partly as nobody else has done so yet.
i bought 5 harlequin raboras ages ago and i love them, they are great little fish. they grow to about and inch and a half in length and are always active. they are a good shoaling fish and are always having little pecking order battles. they dont harm themselves when they 'fight' but are funny to watch as they posture to each other and 'say' - "i'm the king of this pack". sometimes they even interact with other fish but it is never aggressive, just cheeky fun
they are easy to feed as they will eat most types of aquarium food and are always hungry.
if i had room i'd buy more, but even 5 is a decent number to have in my 40g tank as they make the tank look busy and active.
they are quite sturdy and will survive in most conditions although they do prefer soft and slightly acidic water if possible. fingers crossed i have never had any diseases with them other than a little bit of white spot once or twice which is easily treated.
they are supposed to be relatively easy to breed although i have not been lucky enough for this to happen yet.
i would highly recommend these to any tropical fish keeper, new or experienced, as they are pretty fish and fun to watch.

C'mon Nick, for a Photographer, you're a bit barren in the visual department!
i know, i thought of that too but so far i havent taken any of my harlequins and dont have access to a decent digital cam just now
i'll try add a pic or 2 as soon as i get some.
it occured to me that the harlequins dont fit with a S.A theme but i suppose u get asian tourists everywhere. funny thing is asian tourists are known for always carrying cameras with them. i see a certain irony in that

Twins !! (Homer Simpson like drool...)
My youngest Daughter (11) is going through a Camo stage. Pants and Cap. Same pattern as yours, except it's shades of pink! I asked her if it was for stealthing around in the Barbie store? It really suits her though, has a sort of 'Sarah Conner' (T2) look.
You, on the other hand, camo T-Shirt, to a fashion do?
